Lilo and Stitch: Hamsterviel's Revenge - Part 7

PART SEVEN

(Inside the HARP, Bonnie and Clyde, having now resumed their original appearances, are crawling through the vents. Bonnie stops above a gate.)
Bonnie: Hey. Clyde. Come look at this.
(Clyde looks down to notice that they are both above Hamsterviel's lab. They are right above a table with a stack of paper and test tubes and beakers full of liquids and formulas. Bonnie's eye particularly catches sight of a beaker filled with a purple formula.)
Bonnie: I don't like the looks of this. Especially that purple stuff over there, do you see it? Looks like it could be poison or something.
(She then notices an empty beaker of the same size and shape at the end of the table.)
Bonnie: That gives me an idea.
Clyde: Bonnie, look at that.
(They both look down at the stack of paper, with Clyde trying to read what's on the top sheet.)
Clyde: Maybe those will tell us something.
Bonnie: Can you get us some pictures?
Clyde: Yeah.
(He takes out a camera from his mechanical hand, zooms in on the top sheet and then begins to take a few pictures.)
Clyde: That's not gonna be enough. We need to see what's on the other sheets.
Bonnie: Lower me down on your arm, I'll have a look.
Clyde: What about that camera?
(He points to a camera fitted in the corner of the room. From their control room, Hamsterviel and Ruby both notice that camera's view suddenly turn to static.)
Hamsterviel: Hey! The lab camera's out!
Ruby: Probably more intruders. I'll have a look at it.
(She gets out of a chair and starts to walk towards the door. Inside the lab, Clyde has extended his mechanical arm down through the vent, and is using the camera to take pictures of the pages, while Bonnie, hanging on to it, turns them over.)
Clyde: OK, I think that's everything.
Bonnie: Alright, hang on a second.
(She reaches over and grabs two beakers on the table, the empty one and the one filled with a purple liquid. She pours the liquid from one beaker into the other one, and then takes out a drinks bottle, hoping to fill the empty beaker with what's inside it. However, she then hears the sound of footsteps outside.)
Bonnie: Someone's coming!
(Outside the room, Ruby has now reached the lab. She unlocks the door, enters it, and begins to look around. As she does, we see that everything looks to have been put back to normal. The beakers are back in the same place as before, and the purple liquid doesn't appear to have been changed.)
(Ruby then climbs up onto the table, and then up some shelves to reach the security camera. She checks the back of it to find that the cables have been perfectly fitted back in. She then looks at the front and finds a red light is lit and the camera is recording perfectly. After checking it, Ruby then takes out a walkie-talkie and uses it to contact Hamsterviel.)
Ruby: Jacques? The camera's fine. Doesn't appear that it's been tampered with either.
Hamsterviel: Yeah, it probably just glitched for a second. Thanks, Ruby.
(She disconnects, and then jumps back down and exits the room. Bonnie and Clyde quietly sigh with relief in the vent.)
Bonnie: That was close. Did you get everything?
Clyde: Yeah, I got it all. Let's have a look at 'em.
(Clyde takes out a viewer device from his mechanical hand, and he and Bonnie now start going through the pictures he has taken. Elsewhere in the vents, Chris and Clip, who have also changed back to their normal appearances, continue to move through. They stop to look down a vent gate and notice themselves above Leroy and Ruby's bedroom. Clip then sees Leroy getting up to leave.)
Clip: He's leaving.
(As soon as Leroy leaves, closing the door behind him, Chris and Clip jump down the vent gate and into the room.)
Clip: Right, now where do we hide?
(Chris turns to notice a closet to their right.)
Chris: Over there. In that closet.
(They both rush to the closet and hide inside of it. Outside his room, Leroy stops Ruby in the hallway.)
Leroy: Ruby?
(She stops to walk over and talk to him.)
Ruby: Yeah?
Leroy: I'm feeling a little tired so I'm gonna go to bed. And I already ate, but yours is still there, you can just heat it up when you're ready.
Ruby: Oh, honey, I am so sorry about tonight. I know you did this really nice thing for me and I let you down.
Leroy: It's OK, it's not your fault. We had a break in. And you did what you had to do.
Ruby: I promise I will make it up to you. OK?
(She kisses him on the forehead.)
Ruby: Goodnight, sweetie. I won't be too long.
(She walks away, heading back to the control room, while Leroy walks back to his bedroom. From the closet, Chris and Clip watch him re-enter, and climb into bed without saying anything.)
Chris: What should we do now?
Clip: Well he's alone but, surely Ruby will follow shortly. I think we should wait until she comes back, then see if we can find out anything from the both of them.
(Chris looks behind him, and notices something on the floor. He picks it up to discover it is a photo, and he looks at it in shock.)
Chris: Clip? (Pause) I think you need to see this.
(She walks over to Chris, and he then shows her the photo. She also looks in shock as she discovers it is, in fact, a photo of Nicki.)
Clip: Oh my gosh.
(Back at the hotel, HotShot, Melty and Angel are outside together, both sitting on chairs. HotShot is trying to get Pele to say her first word.)
Pele: Ma...
HotShot: Yes, yes that's it.
Pele: … da. Ma... da.
(Pele giggles, and HotShot, Melty and Angel laugh too.)
Angel: You know, if you listen to it in a different way, "ma-da" kinda sounds like "mother".
(HotShot and Melty laugh again, this time at Angel's line.)
HotShot: It does a little.
Melty: How are you feeling?
Angel: I'm alright. (Pause) Actually, could I hold Pele for a second?
HotShot: Sure.
(She passes Pele over to Angel, who takes her in her arms. Angel looks at her and smiles, and Pele responds happily to this.)
Melty: She likes you.
Angel: Yeah, she does. And I'm glad. (Pause) You see, I keep feeling scared about becoming a mother. Stitch is always telling me not to be, but I can't help it. And I feel that, if I hold a baby close to me in my arms, I might get the idea of how it feels to be a mother... so that when it's time to say hello to my own baby... I won't feel so scared.
(Short pause, HotShot sits next to Angel to talk to her.)
HotShot: Everyone gets scared, but you're going to be a wonderful mom, Angel. You're such a nice girl, don't let anyone tell you you're not. I know I wouldn't.
Melty: Neither would I.
(Angel smiles, moved by their words. Pele then burps a little bit.)
HotShot: Oh, I think she needs feeding.
Angel: OK, here you go.
(Angel passes Pele back to HotShot.)
Angel: I'd best go see how Stitch is doing.
(Melty takes Angel's left hand, helping her get up onto her feet.)
Angel: Thank you.
Melty: You're welcome. We'll be up in a minute.
(Angel walks back inside the hotel.)
Receptionist: OK, you're up in room 93, a bellhop will show you to your room and help you with your luggage. Enjoy your stay with us.
(Hearing this, Angel turns her head to the left, and becomes shocked yet very happy to see familiar faces. In their room, Jumba is up there alone, keeping watch of the radar screen. Stitch is sleeping on the large bed in the main room. Angel then enters the room alone.)
Angel: Hey, Jumba. Are the others back with the groceries yet?
Jumba: Not yet, should be any minute now though.
Angel: Oh, OK. It's just that, I have an old friend of ours with me.
(Jumba swivels his chair around to see.)
Jumba: You do?
(Upon seeing them, his eyes open wide with amazement.)
Jumba: No!
(He then hears Stitch moaning and talking in his sleep.)
Stitch: Lilo... Lilo, Lilo!
(Jumba and Angel, both concerned, then walk over to see to him.)
Angel: Stitch! Stitch, are you OK?
Stitch: Lilo... Lilo...
Voice: Stitch? Stitch?
(He opens his eyes slightly and sees a blur of red.)
Stitch: Lilo?
(He then moves his head up slightly to see a blurry face.)
Voice: Stitch.
(Stitch's vision becomes less blurry and the face reveals itself to be Yuna.)
Yuna: Stitch, it's me.
Stitch: Yuna?
(Short pause, Stitch looks at Yuna and gradually becomes more aware of her presence. He now smiles at her.)
Stitch: Yuna.
(Yuna happily laughs, and Stitch soon follows, now happy to see her.)
Stitch: Yuna!
Yuna: Stitch!
(The two embrace in a hug here.)
Stitch: It's so wonderful to see you again!
Yuna: It's wonderful to see you too!
(They move away from each other slightly.)
Stitch: What are you doing here?
Yuna: Me and Grandma are here on vacation, we didn't think you'd be here in this hotel too! Oh, I've missed you so much, Stitch!
Stitch: I've missed you too.
(The voice of Sae, Yuna's best friend, is heard just outside the room.)
Sae: Hey, Yuna, we've taken the rest of the suitcases up.
Stitch: Sae!
(Sae and Yuna's grandma then appear at the open door, and excitedly see Stitch with Yuna.)
Sae: Stitch!
Jumba: He-hey! You bring your family!
Grandma: Jumba!
(They both run up to him and hug him. Yuna and Stitch then happily join in the hug.)
Grandma: It feels so good to see you all again!
Sae: It really does...
(They then turn around to Angel.)
Sae: …and Angel! You're pregnant!
Angel: Yep, and almost there too! My due date's only three days away.
Stitch: We're getting married too!
Yuna: Wow, that's amazing!
Grandma: Congratulations, you two!
(Nani, Kolobos and Pleakley then appear at the door, walking in with a bag of shopping each.)
Pleakley: Hey guys, we just got the basic essentials that we need for n... OH MY GOSH!
Yuna: Pleakley!
(Suddenly becoming excited, Pleakley puts down his shopping bag as Yuna, Sae and Grandma run over and hug him, happily talking and laughing as they do. Jumba, Stitch and Angel then join them in a group hug. The others continue to walk in, and upon seeing them, start to look confused.)
Jumba: He-he! Is like big happy reunion party!
Kolobos: Uh, guys?
(They all stop to hear Kolobos.)
Kolobos: Sorry to break this up but... new people, who we don't know...
Stitch: Oh, please, I apologise! Gather around, let me introduce you all.
(Yuna, Grandma, and Sae stand in a row together, with Stitch, Angel, Jumba and Pleakley around, while the others look at them.)
Stitch: Everybody, this is Yuna. That's her grandma, and the girl on the end is her best friend Sae. They're friends that we made during that time we spent in Japan filming that TV show. They're all here on vacation.
Nani: Well, aloha! I'm Nani Pelekai, this is Kolobos English, and Cobra Bubbles. The little girl over there is Victoria Green and, you probably know most of the aliens.
Yuna: Yes, we do.
Sae: No, wait. We don't know these ones over here.
(She points her hands to Nicki, HotShot, Melty and Pele.)
Stitch: Oh, over here we have Nicki, HotShot and Melty, and their daughter Pele.
Melty: Hi.
Nicki: Nice to meet you.
Grandma: And you. It's lovely to meet you all. Stitch has told us a lot about the Hawaiian islands, we've been meaning to come here for a long time.
Sae: We've already spent 10 days each in the other islands. For us this is the last one left.
Yuna: We thought since our friends were here, it'd be cool to save the best until last.
Nani: Well, Kauai is a beautiful island. And if you ever need tour guides, you can come to us.
Kolobos: Yeah, we'll be happy to show you all around.
Grandma: Thank you. I mean... mahalo.
Nani: You're welcome.
Grandma: Well, I must go and start unpacking our luggage.
Yuna: We'll be there in a minute, Grandma.
Grandma: Oh, no rush, you two, but thank you. Nice to meet you all.
All but Yuna and Sae: Nice to meet you!
(Grandma exits the room.)
Yuna: So, this is your ohana, Stitch.
Stitch: Ih.
Kolobos: Well anyone who's a friend of Stitch, and Angel, Jumba and Pleakley, come to think of it, is sure to be a friend of ours too.
Nani: We have a family saying that I've followed my whole life. It's "ohana means family, and family means nobody gets left behind, or forgotten".
Sae: Aww, I like that.
Yuna: We have a saying like that in Japan. It's "Ichariba Chodei", that means "Meet once, cousins forever."
Cobra: That's really nice.
(Short pause)
Sae: So let me just see if I've got all the names right, you are... Nani, Kolobos, Cobra, Victoria, Nicki, HotShot, Melty and Pele. Is that right?
All: Yeah.
Yuna: And, who is this, Lilo?
Nani: She's a little girl. And my little sister.
Yuna: I heard Stitch screaming out her name a minute ago.
Angel: That's because he's scared, we all are. You see, Lilo was kidnapped by Dr. Hamsterviel.
Yuna: (gasps) Dr. Hamsterviel?
Sae: But I thought he was just a made up character on our show.
Stitch: I'm afraid not, Sae. He's very real. That "made up character on our show" was based on a real life, convicted criminal, who has now broken out of prison and kidnapped my best friend.
(Looking sad, Angel puts her left hand on Stitch's right shoulder and holds his right hand in hers.)
Yuna: Oh... oh my gosh.
Stitch: I'm sorry, Yuna, the producers didn't want you to know he was a real nemesis.
Yuna: It's OK, Stitch, it's not your fault. What about the other two? Are they real?
Stitch: Gantu and Reuben, yes they are. But they're not our enemies. They used to work for Hamsterviel, and their lives as the villains were considered more interesting for the show. But they turned against him and now they're on the good side. They work for the United Galactic Federation on Planet Turo, protecting the galaxy, and because of the importance of their jobs they were unable to star as themselves in the show, but they approved the use of actors to play them.
Yuna: I see. But... Hamsterviel... he's real... and he's loose?
Angel: Ih. He's now got an assistant named Ruby, who's also an escaped criminal, and a huge army of cloned experiments named Leroy. And they've captured Lilo, and put her in the middle of perhaps the most vicious and twisted scheme they've ever planned.
(Yuna and Sae silently react to these words with scared, worried looks on their faces.)
Stitch: I went after them to get Lilo back, and got caught by the Leroy clones. I tried to fight them all off but they overpowered me with their numbers...
(Here, Stitch puts his left hand on where his stomach is wrapped in bandages.)
Stitch: … and that's how this happened.
(Yuna and Sae both gasp at this.)
Stitch: They also sent some clones to beat up Sparky. He's in one of the bedrooms sleeping right now, but is heavily injured.
Yuna: Oh my gosh. I... I don't know what to say. I always thought Hamsterviel was well written as an arch enemy when I thought he was just fictional. I never would've thought that he could be real, and that evil! (Pause) And Lilo... she's a little girl? I assumed she was a teenager. The producers and the writers told me she had a boyfriend, and that was the reason you left Hawaii for all those months to do the show.
Stitch: The producers and writers lied to you, Yuna. Lilo is just a little girl, she's younger than you. And I didn't know why but the producers didn't want you to know who she was, and I didn't want to go along with it. None of us did, we very nearly didn't do the series. But we did it anyway because it meant a lot to you and you're a really nice girl and we didn't want to let you down.
Yuna: Oh. I understand. Thank you, Stitch. And I'm so sorry, you guys. I mean, I wish I could do something, I wish I could help.
(Long pause, Yuna reaches her arm over and gently strokes Stitch's hand. Both still look at each other with worried looks on their faces.)
Jumba: Maybe you can help.
Pleakley: Jumba, you can't ask her to do that.
Kolobos: Pleakley's right. Yuna and Sae may have some idea of who Hamsterviel is based on how he was portrayed in your TV show, but they have no idea of what the real person is like.
Nicki: And it's not just one person. What about the Leroy clones, and what about Ruby?
Jumba: Alright, look I know there is much for her to take in and I know it's asking a lot, but Yuna has a lot of karate skills and experience, she's got courage, and she just said that she wishes she could help, which is giving us one extra person on our team.
(He now turns his head to talk to Yuna as he continues.)
Jumba: Yuna, everybody's correct, I concur that it will be beyond dangerous. And it's up to you, but I really do believe that you can help us. And you know that we'll have your back the whole time. We're ohana. Nobody gets left behind, or forgotten.
(Short pause, Yuna slightly raises a smile, until Jumba's phone rings. Pleakley immediately attends to it.)
Pleakley: Hey guys! We've got a call!
Kolobos: Trace it first.
(Pleakley quickly taps at the machine and traces the caller.)
Pleakley: It's Clyde.
Yuna: Clyde? As in...
Stitch: Ih. Bonnie and Clyde.
(He then answers the phone and links it up to the machine, allowing everybody in the room to listen through speakers.)
Pleakley: Clyde? It's Pleakley.
Clyde: Hey, Pleaks. Listen, did Stitch get back safe to you last night?
Stitch: Yeah, Clyde, I'm OK. Are you and Bonnie alright?
Clyde: Yeah, we're OK.
Stitch: Why are you whispering?
Clyde: Because we've managed to find a hiding spot, but we don't know how long it's gonna stay hidden. Can you all hear us?
Stitch: Not perfectly.
Cobra: Try turning the speakers up.
(Pleakley turns the nearby volume button to the right, which increases both the sound of Clyde's voice and static coming from the speakers.)
Clyde: OK, can you hear me now?
(Everyone replies positively.)
Kolobos: Have you got anything for us?
Bonnie: Yeah, we think we've found out why Ruby and Hamsterviel wanted Lilo so badly. Any of you ever heard of something called The Diamond of Immunity?
(Jumba suddenly looks stunned.)
Jumba: What did you say?
Bonnie: The Diamond of Immunity.
Clyde: You know about it?
Jumba: I, I read about it in a book upon once a time but, I thought it was just a myth, a legend!
Kolobos: What is it?
Jumba: Well I have never had the strength or the facilities to try it myself but... the Diamond of Immunity is perhaps the most sought after device among evil genius villains everywhere! If constructed correctly, the first touch will not only give you ultimate power and control, but immunity over every life obstacle, every force that can strike! You literally become unstoppable! But, nobody from Jumba's memory has ever been able to make such a diamond, so I assumed that it never actually existed.
Bonnie: Well someone's managed to do it. The guy's name is Bob Pestus, and it appears that he's working on Hamsterviel's team. Maybe they're gonna share the ultimate power or something, I don't know.
Kolobos: Wait, wait a minute! Did you say Bob Pestus?
Bonnie: Yes.
(Kolobos's eyes widen, and he is now in deep shock, as are the rest of the family.)
Kolobos: Dr. Bob Pestus!
Nani: Dr. Pestus?
Nicki: Your father?
Jumba: You mean he's... he's still alive?
(Short pause, Kolobos sighs deeply, still in shock.)
Kolobos: So that's why he's been after Lilo all this time? It was all about this diamond?
Cobra: Hold on a minute. What has this diamond got to do with Lilo?
Bonnie: We've found some of their documents, it says here that the diamond reacts to two people, and only two specific people in the world. It attaches itself to them like a magnet, and that's how it gets activated. Now in order for the diamond to be successfully activated to its full capabilities, it needs to meet with these two people, both of living human genes, at the exact same time. Just so happens that Lilo is one of those two people, and Hamsterviel's got his team running around looking for the other one.
Jumba: Is there any connection between the two?
Clyde: Yeah, the connection is that the two they need are "close like ohana, but not directly related", or "directly related like ohana, but not close".
Kolobos: OK, thank you, hold on. Someone make a note of that.
(Nani grabs a nearby pen and paper and writes the words down.)
Nani: Got it.
HotShot: Have you heard anything from Chris and Clip?
Bonnie: No, we haven't seen them. Anyway look, we can't stay on any longer, they might find us.
Kolobos: OK guys, one last thing. Have you found anything about Gail's murder?
Bonnie: Nothing yet, but we'll keep looking.
Stitch: OK, thank you. Be careful.
(Stitch hangs up on them.)
Kolobos: Pestus. (Short pause) I can't believe he's still out there.
Yuna: Sorry, who is this... Pestus?
Kolobos: Biologically speaking, he's my father. Morally speaking... he's a murderer. He killed my mother, and several others that stood in his way whether he was just looking for somewhere to hide or, somewhere to keep watching for this "other person" they're after. (Pause) Oh my God, what if he tries to-
Stitch: (interrupting) He won't.
Kolobos: How do you know that?
Stitch: When I went in to get Lilo, she told me that they were looking for another person and that without them, they wouldn't go through with their plan. Now we know that the diamond reacts to "living" human genes, so then as long as they're missing one piece of the puzzle, Lilo's in no danger of being killed.
Kolobos: Alright, right now that's not so bad. Now let's try to figure out the rest of the puzzle. What do we have?
Cobra: "Close like ohana, but not directly related". Does that narrow the list of possibilities down at all?
Pleakley: Well apart from Nani, none of us in the family are directly related to Lilo. We were all adopted into the ohana.
Angel: That's right. Then we've got all of the experiments, we're all close like ohana. Meaning that it's got to be one of us.
Kolobos: Good thinking. Now I think I can narrow it down even further. Bonnie said that the diamond reacts to human genes, key word: human. It's got to be either me, Cobra, or Victoria.
Victoria: I think it's me.
(Long pause, everyone turns to her, looking concerned. Stitch walks over and sits on the bed next to her.)
Stitch: You think it's you?
Victoria: Yeah. Lilo and I aren't related but we are the closest of friends. Plus one of those Leroys tried to capture me.
Jumba: What do you think, Kolobos?
Kolobos: Honestly... I think it's me.
(Long pause, he thinks to himself.)
Kolobos: I'm sure it's me.
(He then opens one of the cases, picks up a couple of guns and puts one in each of his pockets.)
Nani: What are you doing?
Kolobos: I'm going in.
Cobra: You're what?
Kolobos: Stitch is still injured, someone's gotta go and get Lilo out of there. And I'm the strongest one here.
Jumba: But you just said you thought it was you they were looking for.
Kolobos: I'm sure of it.
Pleakley: Then why are you going in?
Kolobos: Because if any of you go in then they'll show you no mercy. If I go in, and they think I'm the one they might be reluctant to attack me so bad, and that could make it easier to get through them and get Lilo out of there.
Victoria: But what if it's not you? I mean, that thing came to my house! It attacked me!
Kolobos: And then when I arrived at your house it tried to attack me. And it saw me save you from it the first time at the hula. How do we know that it wasn't waiting for me to come?
Nani: Kolobos, you're being quite stubborn about this.
Kolobos: Look at what's been happening, Nani. Look at all this objectively. Hamsterviel breaks out of prison, and he kidnaps Lilo. OK, when you combine Jumba and Pleakley and all the experiments together there's over 1000 aliens on this planet alone, so I had to wonder, why does he want a helpless little girl? Now we know why, and we know that they're after somebody else too, somebody with human genes, and who's close to Lilo but not directly related to her; that's me! I'm the adopted father, and I have human genes, in a half-human, half-alien body. Maybe that means something? And-and-and Pestus has returned, and surely he must know that I'm part of Lilo's family now, maybe there's something in that area! You know, he already took my mother, he's taken Lilo prisoner, maybe taking me would be the last thing left to do. Maybe it's a three-way connection, and I'm the one in the middle, and if he gets rid of me, and then Lilo, he'll have finally finished his work. I just- I have to go in there. This makes too much sense to ignore.
HotShot: But Kolobos, if you are the one, what will happen if you get caught?
Kolobos: I'll get myself out of a bad situation. As an experiment, it is my primary function after all.
Melty: And what if you've got this wrong? What if you're not the other person they're looking for?
Kolobos: If that's the case, Melty… then Lilo and four experiments are still inside that ship. If Pestus comes face to face with any of them, then believe me... our cousins are gonna need some help.
(With that, he walks out the door. Now back at the hideout, Leroy wakes up, and finds the other side of his bed empty. He then looks over at the table and notices Ruby's plate is untouched. He sighs unhappily at this, and then gets up and walks into his bathroom. Still inside the closet, Chris and Clip hear him go in and turn his shower on.)
Chris: OK. He's just gone in the shower.
Clip: Hmm. That's weird.
Chris: Why?
Clip: I just, never thought Leroy would make himself clean.
Chris: Oh! Right, I get it now. (laughs) Good one.
Clip: Thank you.
Chris: OK so, when he comes out, we'll surprise him. Then we'll get him to answer our questions.
(30 minutes later, Leroy walks out of his bathroom, rubbing his head with a towel, having just come out of the shower. He throws it behind him and turns around, jumping in shock as he notices Chris and Clip now in the room.)
Chris: We meet again, master!
Leroy: What are you two doing in here?
Clip: Alright, you little stalker! The door is locked, your "buji-bu" isn't here, and you are gonna answer a couple of questions!
(They both move in closer of him, forcing him to take steps backwards and back into a bedside locker. Leroy then grabs a nearby blaster and points it at them.)
Leroy: OK, both of you get back this sec-
(Before he can finish, Chris swings a fist and forcefully punches the blaster out of his hand and across the room.)
Chris: You are gonna answer some questions! Now… are you gonna tell us why you and Hamsterviel kidnapped Lilo?
Leroy: I would rather die, or send you out to ask any one of the thousands of other clones who would kill you or take you both prisoner the second you walked out!
Clip: OK, typical bad guy attitude, not gonna tell us anything about your evil schemes. You won't tell us what you want from Lilo… what about Nicki?
(Leroy stumbles on his words a little bit here.)
Leroy: Excuse me?
Clip: Experiment 012!
Leroy: You mean that little green trogg that's obsessed with peach tea? She's no use to us!
Chris: Then how come you have a picture of her in your closet?
(On this line, he takes the picture out and shows it to Leroy's face. He then quickly snatches it out of Chris's hand.)
Leroy: That is no concern of yours!
Clip: Of course it is! She's part of our ohana! Now why do you have a picture of her?
Leroy: I… I-
Clip: Do you know she has a picture of you too? Are you two secretly working together or something like that?
Leroy: No, I've never met her, in person… she has a picture of me?
Chris: Yeah, she does. And it's because she has feelings for you. Personally Clip and I can't see why but…
Leroy: Wait, stop.
(Pause, his voice and mood become much calmer and lighter now.)
Leroy: She has feelings for me?
Clip: Yes, she has feelings for you. Not for any of your tens of thousands of clones, but "you". She thinks you're cute, and that there's a chance that there could be some good in you.
Leroy: She does?
Chris: Yeah. Why are you so interested to know though? You're with Ruby.
Leroy: Well, yeah... but... Nicki has a picture of me, because she has feelings for me, yeah? Why do you think I have a picture of her?
(Chris and Clip stop and think for a second before they look at each other, eyes and mouths wide open, having just realised Leroy's feelings.)
Chris: No way.
Clip: You... like her?
Leroy: Yes. I like her.
(Long pause, Clip and Chris are lost for words.)
Clip: OK, I've had to ask this to Nicki as well. How can you fall for someone who you don't know, and you've never met?
Leroy: When I was hiding under the ocean, I had a long-range, island-wide transmitter installed. I could keep track of everything going on and everyone moving around. But I kept watch of Nicki more than anyone else because... there's something about her that I really liked.
(Short pause, Clip starts to look more understanding.)
Clip: That's what she said to me about you.
Chris: But, what about Ruby? Don't you want to be with her?
Leroy: Well... ever since I saw Nicki, I've been trying to get over her. And don't get me wrong, I do love Ruby, I really do, but part of me is always telling me that she's not "the one". But I knew that as long as Nicki was good I'd have no chance, so instead of trying to chase someone that I couldn't have, I decided to be happy with who I already had.
Clip: And are you?
Leroy: Well... (unsure) I guess so...
(He looks down, and Chris and Clip look worried and sad for him. They sit down beside him and continue talking.)
Clip: But I thought you were happy with Ruby.
Leroy: I thought I was too, but it's like something feels different now.
Chris: Like what?
Leroy: Well, we may all be part of the same evil team with the same evil plan. But, we've got Hamsterviel, and Pestus, and thousands of duplicates of myself guarding this place and keeping close eyes on Lilo. I thought that with that team in hand, Ruby and I would want to spend every minute together with each other, especially given how far apart we've been the last few years. I want that, but I don't believe that Ruby does. She seems to spend all her time with Hamsterviel, all her time focusing on this plan.
Chris: Well what about you? You've contributed to your team, you did help them kidnap Lilo.
Leroy: I know but, I barely got any credit for it, and they've hardly, if not included me in their plans since then. So now I'm wondering if it's worth it, I'm starting to feel like they don't really need, or want me here.
(Short pause)
Clip: I'm starting to think you don't want you here.
Leroy: What do you mean?
Clip: Leroy, you don't look very happy, and you only seemed to sound happy when we were talking about Nicki. (Pause) Are you trying to tell us that you don't want to be evil anymore?
(Long pause, he sighs deeply before answering.)
Leroy: Yes. (Pause) Look, if Nicki and I could be together that would be great, but at the very least, what I want is the same thing that all you other experiments got... a family. A really, good family.
Chris: Then... why are you still here?
Leroy: Because I was born and bred into a life of evil by Hamsterviel. He and Ruby are the only family I've got. I know what their clone army did to Stitch, I know they left a scar on his stomach and... I'm afraid of what they might do to me if I betray them. And I'm also worried that my past might make your family turn me away.
(He still looks down. Comforting him, Clip takes hold of Leroy's right hand, while Chris puts his arm over his shoulders.)
(Meanwhile, outside the ship, a new set of about 150 clones are guarding the ship. Kolobos jumps down through the hole in the ground and arrives in front of them. This causes the whole pack to turn around to him. He then lights his hands on fire.)
Clone: Oh no, not again!
(All the clones then point their blasters at him. With his hands aflame, Kolobos shoots some flames at the ground, setting it on fire. The flames quickly spread around the clones' feet and the ship.)
Clone: Oh OK, maybe again! Run!
(They all rapidly run away back inside the ship. On the big screen in Hamsterviel's room, he, Ruby and Pestus watch them scurry back inside.)
Hamsterviel: What? What is going on out there?
(He then catches sight of Kolobos walking through the flames, heading for the ship's entrance.)
Hamsterviel: Oh. Never mind.
(Also seeing this, Pestus quickly runs out of the room.)
(His hands still aflame, Kolobos charges through the ship's doors, then stands before the hallway of clones, who seem hesitant to approach him.)
Kolobos: Where is she? (Pause) Where's Lilo?
(Hamsterviel and Ruby then appear from his room.)
Hamsterviel: Ah, Experiment Number 1! Just the nuisance we were looking for! Don't be intimidated by him, my Leroy clones! Attack!
(With this persuasion, the clones take out their blasters and prepare to shoot. Kolobos then puts his flames out, and as the Leroys starts shooting at him, he jumps around, running up and down and stylishly jumping across the two walls, managing to avoid every shot fired. He quickly finds himself at the end of the hallway, where all the Leroys turn around to continue firing. Kolobos then shoots flames from his hands to block their attack, while shouting out to the right of him.)
Kolobos: Lilo!
(Inside her captive room, Lilo hears him shouting outside.)
Kolobos: Lilo, where are you?
Lilo: Kolobos!
(He hears her calling from outside, and so slowly moves to the right, putting out his flames as soon as he is away from the clones. Kolobos then takes out his guns and keeps moving on, heading for the room. As he turns to the left and points his guns ahead, he stops and suddenly starts shaking as he sees Pestus waiting in front of the door. Neither of them say anything, but a stunned and worried Kolobos now completely freezes, and both guns slip out of his hands and land beside him on the floor.)
Pestus: Hello, son.
(He takes out a blaster loaded with a purple coloured serum, and takes a shot at Kolobos, hitting him. Pestus then shoots him again, and watches as Kolobos slowly falls to the ground. Hearing these shots, Hamsterviel and Ruby quickly rush over there.)
Hamsterviel: WAIT! You idiot, what are you doing?
Pestus: Relax, Jacques. He's immortal, remember, you can't kill him, and besides, these bullets don't kill. (Pause) They simply paralyse.
(Kolobos's eyes open slightly, as he realises what Pestus just said. Pestus then shoots him with two more times before putting his gun away. Hamsterviel now has a lurid grin on his face.)
Pestus: That should do it.
Hamsterviel: Take him to the lab.
(Pestus grabs Kolobos by his legs and drags him on the floor to Hamsterviel's lab.)
Hamsterviel: Go and tell your boyfriend the good news!
Ruby: Yes, sir!
(Inside his room, Leroy, Chris and Clip hear footsteps walking up to the room, and all of them know who is coming. Ruby enters the room upon arrival.)
Ruby: Leroy! We may have got the last piece!
Leroy: What, we have?
Ruby: We just captured Kolobos English!
(Pause, she then sees Chris and Clip in the room.)
Ruby: Oh! And I see we've got more intruders, this just keeps getting better! Why don't you get these two, Leroy?
(Slightly hesitant, he picks up his blaster and points it at Chris and Clip, who back away to the right. The three all look each other in the eyes, and can tell that Leroy is nervous. They all notice the blaster is loaded with a pink cartridge, and recognise what that is.)
Leroy: (whispers to himself) It's only net.
Chris: (whispers to Clip) It's only net.
(Leroy then looks over his right shoulder and sees Ruby with a confident, yet pushing grin on her face. He then turns back over to Chris and Clip, moving over more to the right, so that he now has his back completely turned to Ruby.)
Clip: Do what you have to do.
(He slowly raises the gun back up to them.)
Leroy: (whispers quietly) I'm sorry, guys.
(Leroy then fires, but net is not released. Instead a special shot of plasma is released, and it hits Clip. She is instantly stricken and clinches hold of her body.)
Chris: Clip!
(She falls to the ground unconscious. Chris looks deeply worried, but Leroy looks horrified, unknowing of what has just happened.)
Ruby: Quickly now! Get the other one!
Leroy: (whispers) Get outta here! (shouts) Chris, get outta here now!
(After Leroy shouts this, Chris immediately runs over into the bathroom, jumps up on the edge of the bath and then smashes through the window. As soon as he lands outside, he runs away through the hole that he and the others entered from. Back inside the ship, Ruby turns to talk to Leroy, angry and confused at what he's done.)
Ruby: What was that? You let him get away!
Leroy: He didn't need hurting, OK, he's harmless. He'll have no chance if he comes back.
Ruby: You better hope that he doesn't.
(Ruby then turns away from him.)
Leroy: Hey, Ruby? What happened to my net cartridge?
Ruby: I'm sorry?
Leroy: This blaster was loaded with net last night.
Ruby: Oh, right! I must've forgotten to tell you, I took all the net cartridges out of the blasters last night and put something different in them all. After Stitch broke in I realised that we had to be ready and equipped with something a little deadlier.
Leroy: So what's this one filled with?
Ruby: That one you just fired is loaded with a poison cartridge.
(Leroy's face now turns to a more shocked look, and he also turns to notice Clip's fallen but breathing body.)
Leroy: It's poison?
Ruby: That's right. And it's the same colour as a net cartridge, so our enemies won't know what really hits them before it does.
(She then picks up Clip and throws her over her shoulders.)
Ruby: Anyway, like I said, we've got Kolobos English now! You coming to see the tests?
Leroy: Uh… yeah, in a minute. I just feel like I need to freshen up a little bit first.
Ruby: OK, but don't be too long! Things are looking up, we've got something to celebrate here!
(Ruby walks out of their room with Clip, as Leroy heads to his bathroom. In there, he frantically turns on the sink taps and washes his hands and face quickly and thoroughly. He also constantly panics and breathes in and out rapidly.)
Leroy: (whispers) What have I done?
(He grabs a nearby towel and very quickly dries his hands and face. He then drops the towel at his side, takes two steps back and falls on his back onto the floor, with his hands on his forehead, and distraught.)
Leroy: What have I done?
(Scene cuts to black.)
